How It Works

1. Complete enrollment and in-take forms. Sharing your medical and family history, your daily challenges and goals, will enable Ilant to create a plan personalized for you.

2. Meet with your Peer Navigator. Our Peer Navigators have all lived obesity experience and will provide you ongoing support throughout your journey.

3. Meet with your clinical team. This includes board-certified obesity medicine physicians, and licensed specialists in nutrition and mental health.

4. Regular engagement through online portal check-ins and care team visits. In between visits, you'll have access to Peer Navigators, a nurse line, and in-app resources.

What does Ilant Health's program include?

Ilant’s program includes regular visits with your Ilant clinical team, peer navigator and access to Ilant's online portal with tracking tools and educational content are available at no cost to you. Any labs ordered or surgical procedures referred are not included in Ilant's program but are subject to your health plan coverage, deductibles and co-pays.  Anti-obesity medications will be managed through a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) if prescribed by an Ilant physician. Anti-obesity medication costs will not go towards the Cigna medical plan deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.

How is Ilant Health different from other weight loss programs?

Ilant Health is an evidence-based, medical obesity solution that supports you in every step of your journey. We prescribe FDA-approved medications, as appropriate, along with personalized support from board-certified obesity medicine physicians, licensed mental health clinicians, registered dietitians, and peer navigators.  You’ll have regular video visits with your care team, and support  through messaging and access to educational tools through the Ilant Member Portal.

What medications do Ilant doctors prescribe? What is the cost?

If you and your Ilant doctor decide to pursue anti-obesity medication as a treatment, you may be prescribed medications such as Wegovy, Zepbound, Qsymia, and Contrave (among others). Ilant members are not guaranteed a prescription to medication unless it is determined a necessary part of their treatment plan.

Galway offers a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) benefit to pay a portion of the cost of medications, administered by Ilant Health.  This benefit applies to all health plan members prescribed anti-obesity medication by Ilant Health. For specific medication costs, contact Ilant Health. Anti-obesity medication costs will not go towards the Cigna medical plan deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.

Who is eligible to participate?

In order to participate in Ilant's program as a covered benefit, you must be an employee or dependent covered by a Galway Cigna medical plan and age 18 years or older. And have the following BMI minimum of:

2025 plan year: BMI of 35 or above

2026 plan year: BMI of 27 or above (effective January 1, 2026)

Is Galway covering GLP-1s like Wegovy and Zepbound?

Galway is offering a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) benefit for these medications, administered by Ilant Health.  This benefit will apply to all of our health plan members prescribed any anti-obesity medication by Ilant Health, including but not limited to Zepbound, Wegovy, Qsymia, and Contrave.  

What if I'm not enrolled in Galway's Cigna medical plan?

For those employees and dependents that are not enrolled in a Galway Cigna medical plan, you may opt to participate in Ilant's program as a self-pay member.  The self-play plans costs: $115/mo (annual plan), $125/mo (quarterly plan) or $135/mo (monthly plan). Any labs ordered, medications prescribed, or surgical procedures referred are not included in Ilant's program, and would be subject to your health plan coverage and co-pays, or self-pay. Can I use my Health Savings Account to pay for the cost of medications?

No, HSA funds may not be used to pay for the member cost of Ilant prescribed medications since a portion is paid for with an HRA.
